DEVELOPMENT OF MEDIA LITERACY OF APPLICANTS FOR AGRONOMIC SPECIALITIES BY THE MEANS OF JOURNALISTIC WEBQUESTS

The article is dedicated to a topical issue of developing media literacy in non-language university students as component teaching them English foreign language. notions media, mass education, its aim, tasks and result, WebQuest Journalistic Task are commented upon. Media understood the modern channels communication including physical online newspapers magazines, television, radio, telephone, Internet, fax billboards. education interpreted theory practical skills acquiring applying part pedagogical practice. It aimed at students' ability use effectively society. relate critical analysis information, creating texts; evaluating their sources, well political, social, commercial, cultural interests context; interpreting texts values spread by them; selecting appropriate create disseminate accessing necessary means obtaining transferring information. viewed result education. Among components interpret evaluate various documents observation, reading, logical inferences reliability arguments; cooperate with partners make ideas clear for others; apply both previous abilities using different types media. term "WebQuest" "an inquiry-oriented lesson format which most or all information that learners work comes from web". presupposes evaluation it answer questions, present events problems.
 On basis theoretical scientific literary sources samples authors suggest designed first (Bachelor's) level 201 "Agronomy" specialty substantiate expedience.
